Competitions

The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) represents the community’s commitment to achieving the highest semi-professional level of soccer. Through the environment of this competition, the league will strive to:

  • Raise the standards of soccer, bringing a professional level of discipline and competition to our players and clubs.

  • Improve communities, one by one, thereby allowing more people to enjoy the bright future of soccer in our nation. 

  • Provide affordable entertainment, while achieving an atmosphere of unity and strength. 

  • Provide young athletes with an environment in which they can consistently train with intensity, to advance both mentally and physically in their athletic careers.

NISL will provide a fun, safe and supportive environment, which nurtures and guides children to develop their talents,
knowledge and appreciation for the game of soccer.

NISL will provide an equal opportunity to all soccer players, coaches, trainers, managers, administrators and officials to
participate in youth soccer competitions.

NISL will provide an equal opportunity to all soccer players to participate in a competitive soccer environment that
encourages good sportsmanship, principles of fair play, and the building of good character.

NISL will provide leagues and divisions so all soccer players, etc. can reach their highest level of competition.

NPLs are independent leagues, unified under one national competition platform, and based on a common technical framework designed to improve long-term player development. The NPL provides a platform:

  • focused on long-term player development;

  • for the country’s top soccer clubs, allowing consistent, meaningful high-level games appropriately scheduled with higher training-to-game ratios;

  • that allows players to be scouted and evaluated by U.S. Soccer National Staff and Technical Advisors;

  • that is designed and structured by the clubs, based on the needs of the clubs; and 

The Illinois Women’s Soccer League is the premier amateur women’s soccer league in the state.  The IWSL is a member of Illinois Youth Soccer and currently supports over 1200 teams for youth and adults.
